FEI "Horse Of My Art" Competition - Terms & Conditions

INTRODUCTION

By participating in the competition, you agree to these terms and conditions. The competition is run by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), with a registered office address at HM King Hussein I Building, Chemin de la Joliette 8, 1006 Lausanne, Switzerland ("the Organiser").

DEFINITIONS

Organiser: The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).

Competition: The Horse Of My Art competition is a contest inviting entrants to create and submit original artwork depicting a horse competing in the 2025 Longines League of Nations for a chance to win one of a selection of prizes.

Entrant: An individual who submits an entry to the competition.

Entry: A single submission of original artwork featuring a horse competing in the 2025 Longines League of Nations.

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER

1.1. The Horse Of My Art Competition is open to Entrants worldwide.

1.2. Employees of FEI, Longines, their affiliates, agents, agencies and immediate family members (parents, siblings, children, and spouse, regardless of where they live) are not eligible to participate.

1.3. Entrants must be at least 18 years old to enter independently. Entrants under 18 may participate with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must submit the entry on the entrant’s behalf, agree to the collection and use of data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and confirm that they will oversee the entrant’s participation. The FEI reserves the right to assume that all entries submitted for entrants under 18 have received the necessary parental or guardian consent.

COMPETITION PERIOD

2.1. The competition begins on 19th February 2025 and closes on 19th October 2025 (the "Competition Period").

HOW TO ENTER

3.1. Entrants must select a horse competing in the 2025 Longines League of Nations™ from a dropdown list provided on the competition website.

3.2. Entrants must create an original artwork of their chosen horse in any medium.

3.3. Entries must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format, with a maximum file size of 20MB.

3.4. Entrants may submit multiple artworks, each as a separate entry.

3.5. Entries must be submitted via the official competition website before the deadline on 19th October 2025.

3.6. Photography is welcome; however, entrants must own the rights to any photograph submitted.

3.7. AI-generated art is accepted but must be clearly flagged as AI-generated upon submission.

JUDGING AND PRIZES

4.1. Winners will be selected based on artistic quality, creativity, and alignment with the theme by a designated panel.

4.2. Grand Prize (Overall Winner):

• Travel, accommodation, and VIP tickets for two people for one Longines League of Nations™ event in 2026 (qualifier or final, chosen by FEI).

• Winner will be chosen from submissions for the top horse in the leaderboard – the horse with the most pieces of art created – by the horse’s team (owners, grooms, and athlete).

• If over 50 submissions, the FEI will prepare a shortlist.

4.3. Emerging Artist (0-10 years old) Prize:

• Art supplies/design kit (worth 200 CHF / approx. 220 USD – 210 EUR).

• Winner selected from submissions in this age category.

4.4. Next Gen Artist (11-18 years old) Prize:

• Art supplies/design kit (worth 200 CHF / approx. 220 USD – 210 EUR).

• Winner selected from submissions in this age category.

Winner Notification for 4.2 to 4.4: Winners will be notified two weeks after the deadline (by November 3, 2025). Winners will be contacted via the email provided upon submission.

4.5. Engagement Prize:

• Longines League of Nations™ goodie bag (minimum value 60 CHF).

• Five winners per LLN qualifier event selected via a random draw from entrants who share their artwork on social media using the hashtag #HorseOfMyArt from a public profile on Instagram, Facebook, and/or TikTok. Each submission on a different platform will provide an additional chance to win the draw. Submissions must be in the form of a post; Stories will not be counted.

• Barcelona Final is excluded from this prize draw.

Winner Notification for 4.5: Five winners per qualifier event will be selected two weeks after each qualifier, by the following dates:

• Abu Dhabi – February 29, 2025

• Ocala – April 7, 2025

• Rotterdam – July 6, 2025

• St Tropez – October 5, 2025

Winners will be contacted via their social media account used for sharing their submission.

WINNER NOTIFICATION & PRIZE FULFILLMENT

5.1. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days after being contacted by email or social media, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be chosen.

5.2. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.

5.3. Travel-related prizes include economy-class flights and hotel accommodation for two nights for the winner and a guest. Further details will be confirmed with the winner.

DATA PROTECTION

6.1. Personal data provided by entrants will be used only for the administration of this competition and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

6.2. Entrants have the right to access, rectify, or delete their data upon request.

MARKETING COMMUNICATION

7.1 Marketing Communication by the Organiser: The Organiser collects data relating to consent to receive other communications (“Opt-In(s)”). If the Entrants Opt-In, the Organiser shall implement the processing of personal data for the purpose of marketing communication. Said processing of personal data relies on the Organiser’s legitimate interest which is to provide the Entrants with the Organiser’s newsletter and maintain a contact with the Entrants. The personal data collected for this purpose is the Entrant’s email address, first name, last name, age, country of residence, and Opt-In preferences. The provision of the requested personal data is necessary for the Entrant to receive communications from the Organiser. Failure to provide said personal data shall restrict the communication with the Entrant in this regard. The Entrant is free to unsubscribe from these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link contained in said communication. For the abovementioned purpose, the collected personal data may be transferred to a third party which may act on behalf of the Organiser. The collected personal data is stored by the Organiser on the basis of the Organiser’s legitimate interest.

7.2 Marketing Communication by the Organiser’s Partners: By checking the dedicated checkbox when registering, the Entrant agrees to their email address being transferred to the Organiser’s partner Longines in order for said partner to send marketing communications to the Entrant. The Entrant is free to unsubscribe from these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link contained in said communication.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & USAGE RIGHTS

8.1. Entrants grant the FEI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute and sell worldwide for an unlimited duration all submitted artworks for promotional and marketing purposes.

8.2. The artist will always be credited where possible.

8.3. Entrants confirm that their submission is original, does not infringe on any third-party rights, and has not been submitted elsewhere for commercial purposes.

8.4. Marketing & Publicity: Winners agree to the use of their names, photographs, and submitted artwork in marketing and promotional materials related to the competition.

DISQUALIFICATION

9.1. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:

· Contains offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content.

· Is suspected of copyright infringement or plagiarism.

· Fails to comply with the submission guidelines.

9.2. Entries suspected of being fraudulent or submitted through automated systems will be disqualified.

LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

10.1. The Organiser is not responsible for incomplete, lost, delayed, or corrupted entries.

10.2. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred in connection with participation in the competition or acceptance of any prize.

10.3. The Organiser is not responsible for any technical failures, including system malfunctions, server crashes, or issues related to email or website functionality.

GENERAL

11.1. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

11.2. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition without prior notice.

11.3. Alternative Prize Clause: In the event a prize becomes unavailable, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute it with an alternative of equal or greater value.

11.4. The competition is governed by the laws of Switzerland, and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swiss courts.

11.5. Liability & Indemnification: By participating in this competition, you agree to release and hold harmless FEI, its affiliates, sponsors, and all related entities from any claim or cause of action arising out of or in connection with participation in the competition or the receipt, use, or misuse of any prize.
